3. Health Data Collection & Use
Due to the nature of this App — a safety-check service for pregnant women — the following health-related data is accessed or collected:
Health data we access or collect:
- Pregnancy week — Entered by the user to receive trimester-specific safety information. Stored locally on the device only and never transmitted to external servers.
- Drug, food & ingredient search history — Names of drugs, foods, and ingredients searched by the user are sent to the Google Gemini API for AI safety analysis. This data is used to determine safety ratings during pregnancy.
- Drug label/ingredient images (OCR) — Photos of drug labels or ingredient lists taken via the camera are sent to the Google Gemini API for ingredient recognition. Images are deleted immediately after analysis and are not permanently stored on any server.
- AI safety analysis results — Safety ratings and precaution information for drugs and foods during pregnancy are displayed to the user. Analysis results may be temporarily cached on the device.
How we use health data:
- Providing pregnancy week-specific drug and food safety ratings
- OCR recognition of drug ingredient labels and per-ingredient safety analysis
- Delivering personalized health information and precautions by trimester
Health Data Protection: Collected health data is never used for advertising purposes and is never sold to third parties. Health data is processed solely for the purpose of providing the App's core safety analysis service.
